Rhulani Mokwena, the head coach of Mamelodi Sundowns, is the first coach in PSL history to win his first SIX league matches in command of a top-flight club.

Mokwena led the Tshwane giants to a 2-1 home victory over Chippa United on Tuesday evening, extending the club’s record since assuming leadership in late 2022.

Teboho Mokoena began the score for Mamelodi Sundowns in the 14th minute, followed by Peter Shalulile in the 67th minute.

Thabiso Lebitso scored a consolation goal for Chippa United in stoppage time of the second half.

Rhulani Mokwena will have the opportunity to win his seventh consecutive DStv Premiership match when Mamelodi Sundowns face SuperSport United on Monday, January 16 at 18:00.
