Mamelodi Sundowns attempt to defeat Kaizer Chiefs by a “impossible” margin

Mamelodi Sundowns have won 11 consecutive league games and will play a faltering Kaizer Chiefs team on Saturday night.

At FNB Stadium, kickoff is at 20:00.

The Brazilians enter this matchup on the heels of a 1-0 victory against SuperSport United in the Tshwane derby, but the Chiefs are still smarting from a 4-0 loss to AmaZulu.

This was the second occasion in the league this season that Amakhosi were defeated by a 4-0 margin; Sundowns were the first to do it in August.

Now, Mamelodi Sundowns will hope for a repeat performance when they travel to the Calabash; a victory there would give them 46 points.

Sundowns will record a historic league double over Chiefs, something they have NEVER accomplished since the PSL’s establishment in 1996.

In contrast, Chiefs have completed a double against Sundowns four times: in 2000-01, 2003-04, 2008-09, and 2011-12 seasons.

Will Chiefs maintain this record, or will Sundowns establish a new one? Please share your thoughts in the section below.
