The match between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns is the undisputed highlight of the weekend for PSL fans.
“It’s a big moment for our boys and the Club, but we’re used to big moments,” said Kaizer Chiefs head coach Zwane.
“I believe the guys will respond favorably. Many of them have previously performed at stadiums filled to capacity.
“They have performed well in training. Time will tell how we will begin, because the most important thing for us right now is to redeem ourselves and do the right thing.
“Once we get off to a solid start, I believe we have a decent opportunity of earning maximum points. We will receive help from our supporters. Let’s see if we can capitalize on the fact that we are playing at home.
Even the Kaizer Chiefs have injury issues.
“About five or six of our players will be unavailable due to injury, so we had to devise an alternative strategy.
“What makes me happy is seeing young boys seize the opportunity when it presents itself.”
Sundowns, meanwhile, wish to concentrate on their own game.
Rhulani Mokwena stated, “We must go in and play the game as it should be played.” We will play with the mentality of always striving to perform better than the opposition, create more opportunities, and have an extraordinary profile on the field.
Sundowns Coach Mokwena shared the team’s perspective coming into the game, stating, “We are aware that both teams will be vying for a favorable result, and when we play, we intend to put forth our best effort.”
