Shocking footage released by the Mallorca Civil Guard showed drug runners fleeing from police on speedboats before sprinting through a crowded holiday resort.
The video captured an inflatable boat approaching the island’s coast at high speed from the direction of North Africa on April 21.
The boat was loaded with 31 bales of hashish pollen, weighing 1,200 kilograms, and 68 barrels of gasoline, which were loaded by two all-terrain vehicles in Cala Sa Nu.
Police Chase and Arrest
When the drug runners realised they had been spotted by police, they fled out to sea, but officials knew they didn’t have enough fuel for a long journey.
Once the boat was beached, the suspects sprinted through a crowded beach filled with bewildered tourists sunbathing at the Mallorca resort.
