Madeleine McCann suspect’s attorneys present ‘evidence’ to free him

Lawyers for Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner claim that “new facts” demonstrate his innocence and warrant his release from custody.

The main suspect in the 2007 disappearance of Madeleine McCann, 45-year-old paedophile Brueckner, is presently being held in a German prison for the savage 2005 rape of a 72-year-old US citizen in Praia da Luz.

But according to his 38-year-old lawyer, Friedrich Fuelscher, Brueckner does not have the visible scar or other marker on his thigh that was used to assist convict him in 2019.

Justice advocates for Madeleine McCann will be concerned if the primary suspect in her disappearance is found not guilty since it is suspected that he may vanish as soon as he is freed.

The new information, according to Fuelscher, is connected to claims made by Irishwoman Hazel Behan, another alleged rape victim of Brueckner, who said the guy had a scar on his thigh when he assaulted her in 2004 when she was 20.

But Brueckner recently had an examination of his thighs in an effort to demonstrate that he does not possess a marking similar to this on this section of his body.

According to Fuelscher, the “new facts” are based on the findings of a “operational case study” conducted by the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), Germany’s equivalent of the FBI, which showed that the same perpetrator was responsible for both rapes.

He makes the case that Bruckner cannot be the person who raped the US citizen in 2005, for which he is presently in prison, since he does not have a scar on his thigh and is thus not only innocent of the 2004 rape of Ms. Behan.

Fuelscher seeks to establish that Brueckner did not rape Ms. Behan in opposition to the German prosecution’s assertion that she and the US elderly were victims of the same assailant.

According to Fuelscher, this information may allow Brueckner to avoid the charges that led to his imprisonment for the 2005 rape in Portugal.

Brueckner is presently incarcerated at Oldenburg, a town close to Bremen in northern Germany, in a maximum-security facility known as the “Alcatraz of the North.”

Fuelscher has now submitted a request to the Braunschweig Regional Court to revive the 2005 Portuguese rape case.

He did note that there is a slim possibility that the matter may be reevaluated.

According to Fuelscher, “only a vanishingly tiny percentage of petitions for readmission are successful.”

One may see the criminal justice system’s tremendous strength as it fights every assault on the established order with all its might.

German authorities have been looking into Brueckner over the disappearance of Madeleine McCann for two years.

Mr. Wolters, the chief prosecutor in the case, steadfastly refused to confirm or deny whether the main suspect had on May 3, 2007, entered the Praia da Luz residence and taken the three-year-old from her bed.

According to Mr. Wolters, Brueckner’s alibi that he was having sex with his girlfriend at the time of the kidnapping had crumbled.

Last year, Madeleine McCann would have been 18. Five years after Madeleine vanished, her family released this age progression e-fit picture in 2012 to demonstrate what she would have looked like at nine years old (right)

Despite reports that fibres from Maddie’s pink Eeyore pyjamas had been discovered in his yellow VW camper van, he acknowledged that his team lacked the forensic evidence necessary to convict the paedophile key suspect.

By declining to state whether he was convinced that the German kidnapped Maddie from her parents’ vacation rental at Praia da Luz on Portugal’s Algarve coast on May 3, 2007, Mr. Wolters implied that Brueckner, 45, may have had a partner.

Mr. Wolters said that they were still trying to figure out who made the enigmatic 30-minute phone conversation to Brueckner, which put the caller near to the area where Madeleine vanished the night she went missing.

But when questioned about his certainty that Brueckner had broken into the Ocean Club apartment and kidnapped her, he again reiterated his conviction that he was the murderer but declined to say who had kidnapped the British toddler.

We are certain that he killed Madeleine McCann, he claimed. We know he murdered Madeleine McCann.
