Mackenzie Crook’s West Sussex sister-in-law has been missing for a week

The Office actor Mackenzie Crook has made yet another fervent appeal to find his sister-in-law, who vanished a week ago after undergoing chemotherapy.

On Tuesday, Laurel Aldridge, 62, went missing from her Walberton, West Sussex, home in the Arundel region.

Mr. Crook, best known for his work on The Office, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Worzel Gummidge, has asked the public to look out for her in the West Sussex region ever since she vanished.

He said today: “She left the home without any belongings other than what she was wearing, her phone, or her keys.” After then, she has not been seen.

“She skipped her fifth chemotherapy treatment last Tuesday, and we assume that’s what caused some type of crisis in her, and she’s gone out for a lengthy walk someplace,” the doctor said.

After a week, “we are grasping at straws,” he said on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.

After she allegedly disappeared, Sussex Police, who recently published additional photographs of Ms. Aldridge, now think she could have crossed major roadways.

The police claimed they may know where Mrs. Aldridge was when she was last seen, and that she may have traveled over the A27 and A29 to get there.

The fresh images reveal what Ms. Aldridge was wearing just before she vanished: a brown hat, a turquoise fleece, and a maroon tartan scarf.

She may have been wearing a grey puffer jacket, according to the police, which she also had with her.

Her absence was “extremely out of character,” Mr. Crook told ITV last week, adding that his family was “clearly pretty anxious.”

Since Laurel was reported missing, police have undertaken house-to-house inquiries and search team officers with dogs have combed a large portion of West Sussex, according to Sussex Police.

The NPAS helicopter, drones, and the volunteer specialised Sussex search teams have joined them.

“We would want to thank the public for the information that has been offered to us so far,” Chief Superintendent Howard Hodges stated.

“Our officers are committed to finding Laurel and have been searching nonstop for her along many different lines of inquiry.”

“We are carefully collaborating with Laurel’s family, giving them with assistance and frequent updates on the inquiry,”

They have also made a plea for information in an effort to locate her, saying they just want to return her home safely.

Laurel was last spotted sporting a brown hat, a maroon tartan scarf, a turquoise fleece, and a grey puffer jacket. Laurel is around 5’4″ tall, has grey hair with blonde highlights, and sometimes dons spectacles.

“As part of our appeal, we kindly urge neighbours in the Walberton and Slindon areas to check their outbuildings for any sightings of Laurel. We also want anybody who has dashcam or CCTV video of a person like Laurel to come forward and report it to us.

Please contact us with any information on Laurel’s whereabouts by dialing 101 for non-urgent matters or 999 for emergencies and referencing Operation Accrue.
