L’vovo releases his first public video since his stroke – WATCH

Following his recent hospitalization, renowned South African artist Thokozani ‘L’vovo Derrango’ Ndlovu has released his first public video.

LVOVO SUFFERS A STROKE DURING A PERFORMANCE

The musician has lately left Mzansi following allegations that he was hospitalized due to a small stroke.

On December 23, 2022, the stroke occurred when he was playing at the Ndwendwe Music Festival.

His record label, Derrango Records, issued a statement on social media confirming the news.

“This is a public notice to journalists, event promoters, fans, and other relevant stakeholders on behalf of Thokozani Sphamandla Ndlovu, commonly known as ‘Lvovo Derrango,’ who suffered a small stroke during his performance at Indwedwe on [Friday]. He has been admitted to the hospital for medical care and is responding exceptionally well. We respectfully request that you keep him in your prayers, and we have faith that he will emerge from this challenging position stronger. The family requests that the media and public maintain their privacy during this difficult time,” Read a portion of the assertion.

The musician was unable to say goodbye to his friend Mampintsha, who was laid to rest on December 30.

He uploaded a video of himself and his family to his Instagram account.

As they dance to Big Nuz’s Song Of The Year Ngeke featuring DJ Yamza, the family’s expressions reveal a joyful disposition.

In the music video, L’vovo can be seen bobbing his head to the beat while encouraging the singing and dancing women.

Fans and various celebrities took to the comments section to wish him a fast recovery after seeing that he was doing well.

L’VOVO OPENS UP ABOUT HIS STROKE
L’vovo told Zimoja that he was with Mampintsha the night before he passed away. The member of Big Nuz went away on December 24, having also suffered a mild stroke.

I visited him at the hospital on Thursday evening. Although he was not doing well, we assumed he would recover. I chat with Danger daily. I thus spoke with him during the funeral. Mampintsha is aware that I wished I could have attended his burial. Due of my illness, I had to view it from the hospital. However, I plan to visit his grave after I have fully recovered. When I went to perform on Friday after spending Thursday with him, I felt weak.

Moreover, he disclosed that the stroke occurred when he was performing on stage. He reported a severe discomfort in his left arm and a lack of sensation on the left side.

“I was set to take the stage when his passing triggered me. I was performing when I was attacked before my second-to-last song. I couldn’t feel my left side, so I asked if I might take a short break. I suffer from hypertension and have not been taking my medicine as prescribed.

“I’ve learned not to rush into booking too many gigs. In light of my illness, I take better care of myself and live a healthier lifestyle.

They instructed me to avoid salty and meat-heavy diets. I was instructed on which fruits to eat and which to avoid, as well as to consume less alcohol.”
