Longwe Twala is reportedly back on drugs; Chicco is devastated

After returning from rehab, Longwe Twala, the son of famed singer and producer Chicco Twala, is apparently back on the streets and abusing drugs.

According to Zimoja, a source revealed that his father is upset by this behavior, however his brother Twala Twala is not at much astonished.

RETURN OF LONGWE TWALA TO THE STREETS
The unidentified insider disclosed to the publication that Longwe has returned to the streets because he has resumed drug use and Chicco has given up on him.

Nobody knows what caused him to abandon his home and return to drug use. His family, particularly his father Chicco, is devastated,” a source added.

When asked about his brother, Twala Twala responded, “We are not surprised; Longwe has been a drug addict his entire life, therefore we have nothing to add.”

Longwe, who made news as one of six individuals present the night Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa was shot in October 2014, had previously been linked to drugs. However, his father disclosed in November 2022 that he had completed rehabilitation.

Chicco told journalist Motso Modise outside the Pretoria High Court on 15 November 2022 that the police had been unable to locate his son because he was in rehabilitation.

Chicco disclosed that Longwe had completed rehabilitation and was preparing to testify.

LONGWE ACCUSED OF KILLING SENZO MEYIWA Longwe’s name surfaced during the cross-examination of Meyiwa’s companion Tumelo Madlala during the murder trial in November of last year.

According to the defense attorney for defendants one through four, Timothy Thobane, Madlala’s statement claimed that Longwe shot and killed Meyiwa.

The statement added, “I saw Longwe Twala for the first time, and I did not tell anyone or the Meyiwa family that Longwe Twala killed Senzo since he did not have a firearm with him; instead, he fled.”

However, when questioned on his statement, Madlala claimed that a police officer wrote it. This, despite the fact that he acknowledged before providing his response that he had indeed signed and authorized all of his claims.

ANOTHER SENZO MEYIWA DOCUMENTARY?
Zimoja reports that a new Senzo Meyiwa documentary is in the works, and that it will feature artists Kelly and Zandie Khumalo, their mother Ntombi Khumalo, and Meyiwa’s friends Mthokozisi Twala and Tumelo Madlala. Longwe will also be included.

Longwe was sober when he was interviewed for the documentary Senzo Meyiwa: The Second Docket, which was produced and directed by Zakhele Shiba and Lucky Dumakude.

“This is a personal situation that has nothing to do with the upcoming documentary,” they declined to comment on allegations that he had resumed drug use.
