A sorrowful family has revealed the tragic loss of an elderly couple who passed away just a week before celebrating their 54th wedding anniversary. Philip Marco, aged 77, and Elaine Marco, aged 75, faced a heartbreaking fate when their Mercedes became stranded in floodwaters in the Mossley Hill area of Liverpool at around 9 pm on Saturday.
Emergency responders, including firefighters and police, arrived at the scene and managed to extract the couple from the vehicle.
