LIV Golf Series puts Phil Mickelson on the “winning side.”

On Thursday, Phil Mickelson launched a scathing attack on the PGA Tour, claiming that his participation in the LIV Golf Series puts him on the “winning side.”

Prior to the last stroke-play competition on the fledgling circuit in Jeddah, Mickelson made the remarks in Saudi Arabia. Friday marks the start of the LIV Golf Invitational-Jeddah at King Abdullah Economic City’s Royal Greens.

Additionally, it’s Mickelson’s first visit to Saudi Arabia after supposedly inflammatory remarks he made in an unofficial biography.

According to Mickelson, “I truly feel that I’m on the winning side of how things are going to grow and form for professional golf in the next years.”

“I like how they incorporate and consider our opinions while making choices. LIV Golf is in the lead because it’s so inclusive and flexible.”

He wasn’t through yet.

According to Mickelson, the PGA Tour is falling down whereas LIV Golf is up. “I adore the team I play for. I also like how I feel. I like how I’ve been given new life and am eager to play golf and compete. I adore the encounter. I like how they handle us.”

In six events on the LIV circuit, Mickelson has one Top 10 finish.

Regarding the Alan Shipnuck book, in which Mickelson reportedly called the Saudis “scary mother———-,” Mickelson also used a different strategy.

On Thursday, Mickelson categorically denied ever speaking to the author, contrary to his prior insistence that his remarks to Shipnuck were unrecorded and misinterpreted.

Mickelson said on Thursday that he had never spoken with Alan Shipnuck. And I have the highest regard for everyone I’ve worked with, I find that my interactions with everyone connected to LIV Golf have been nothing but excellent.
