Legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne reveals is interest in touring after his recent spinal surgery

Ozzy Osbourne, the Black Sabbath frontman, announced his retirement from touring last month due to spinal surgery. However, the musician recently revealed that he may consider touring again in the future.

He stated on his “Ozzy’s Boneyard” SiriusXM show that touring may ultimately be an option for him. Nevertheless, he expressed that he couldn’t pull off tours at the moment and wouldn’t be able to say yes if he were asked to go on the road in a month.

Osbourne has been dealing with various health issues, including Parkinson’s disease, a 2003 quad-biking accident, and COVID-19. His physical health has become worse, and he has undergone multiple surgeries, stem cell treatments, physical therapy, and Hybrid Assistive Limb treatment.

He acknowledged that he “never would have imagined that [his] touring days would have ended this way.”

In his retirement announcement last month, Osbourne mentioned that he’s no longer able to tour around the globe due to the damage his spine has endured in the accident. His spinal surgery involved removing and realigning pins in his neck and back.

While the musician’s singing voice remains fine, he’s not physically capable of doing his upcoming European/UK tour dates, as he knows he couldn’t deal with the required travel.

Even though Osbourne’s main focus is making records, he expressed that he can’t do that forever, and he wants to get out there. The musician appeared to look frail in his first outing last month since the retirement announcement.

If he ever gets back to the point where he can tour again, he would tour. However, it would take another six months to get it together even if the doctor gave him the green light today, he said.
