LAPD trainee slain for investigating gang rape, lawyer alleges

According to his attorney, LAPD officer Houston Tipping, who died during police training, was targeted because he was investigating fellow officers for an alleged gang rape.

Accidentally, the 32-year-old sustained a fatal spinal cord injury when he collapsed while holding another officer in a “bear hug” wrestling practice on May 26 at the Police Academy.

The attorney representing Tipping’s mother, Shirley Huffman, Brad Gage, has made the stunning accusation that the officer was a whistleblower in an assault case involving four other police 10 months before his death.

Tipping wrote a report on the alleged assault, and one of the suspected perpetrators was present at his death, according to Gage.

Tipping, a five-year veteran of the LAPD who also served as a bike instructor in the City of Angels, was hurt while ‘grappling’ with another cop, and his death was described as a ‘horrific accident’ at the time.

Huffman claims in her lawsuit that he was repeatedly smacked in the head with such force that he bled throughout the training exercise.

In a press conference yesterday, Brad Gage, the attorney for Tipping’s mother Shirley Huffman, presented the explosive claims.

Tipping had damaged ribs consistent with the use of a LUCAS device, an automatic CPR machine, indicating that attempts were made to revive him.

Bu Gage stated, “The issue is that other medical reports indicate the LUCAS device was never used.”

He has also questioned why there is no available surveillance footage.

He stated, “LAPD asserts that no footage of the training was captured on this day.” We do not believe that to be true.’

Gage believes he has a report of the alleged rape that he has chosen not to publish and that the LAPD has engaged in a cover-up, claiming there was no incident report.

Yesterday, at a press conference, Gage stated, “Four Los Angeles-area police officers were involved in the sexual assault of a woman in July 2021.”

The 32-year-old sustained a fatal spinal cord injury after he collapsed while engaging in a “bear hug” wrestling practice with another police.

LAPD Chief Michel Moore kneeled before Tipping’s parents and gave them with an American flag at his funeral.

“Officer Tipping took a complaint of a sexual assault, and I have read that record. It shows that an object was inserted into the female victim’s genital organ,” the report states.

She recognized the names of some of the uniformed cops because they had name tags.

The name tag of one of those cops appears to correspond with one of the officers who attended training.

He said, “I believe the officers were really arrogant and believed themselves to be above the law, but no one is above the law.”

“I have no doubt that these actions are being concealed. A police agency having a code of silence or engaging in a cover-up should not shock or surprise anyone.
