More than a week after being robbed at gunpoint by three guys while live-streaming a sermon, a Brooklyn bishop displayed his enormous wardrobe full of luxury apparel and footwear.
During a live-streamed video that World Star received on August 1, Lamor Whitehead displayed his fans his flamboyant display of expensive clothing.
On July 24, when the pastor was addressing his congregation, two guys broke into the Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries in Brooklyn, New York, and robbed him. However, it appears that they only managed to escape with a small portion of the pastor’s belongings.
“Good day, good afternoon, everyone,” Whitehead said in the video while donning a white beanie and sweatshirt. Bishop Whitehead here; allow me to take you down to my prayer room.
Whitehead then gives a side-on perspective of his white and lime green painted “prayer closet.” The walls are lined with garment racks, while the ground is covered with untouched boxes and unopened bags of apparel.
‘One would think that, “wow, look at your closet,”‘ he said while giving a closer look at his designer clothing.
‘Got all my priestly robes and more. Designer coats, you name it – Gucci – Louis – you name it. Fendi, you name it,’ he said before turning his attention to the unopened boxes and clothing bags on the floor.
‘More coats,’ he said before turning into a secluded section of his closet for his shoes.
‘Every designer wear. Designer wear for days and days and days and days,’ he said.
A robbery occurred at Whitehead’s church before the footage was recorded. The preacher was delivering his sermon to his audience on July 24 while sporting a maroon suit, a heavy gold chain, and a sizable ring on each finger.
Before the guys with weapons arrived, Whitehead was seen on camera asking his congregation: “How many of you have lost your faith because you witnessed someone else die?”
The thieves then approach, and he is then heard repeating, “All okay, all right,” before being seen getting to his knees. Then, while they loot the bishop, his wife, and the crowd, the men can be seen circling the stage.
Around 11.15am, according to the police, a robbery occurred in Canarsie, when jewelry valued at $400,000 was taken.
Later, Whitehead informed his social media followers that his congregation, as well as his little daughter, are now “traumatized” by the occurrence.
‘To come into a church and traumatize young women and children. The children are still crying. The women are still crying. My wife is crying. You did this to the church and the church where your grandmother praised the Lord.’
On Instagram, he described what happened on Sunday, saying that the robbers pointed a pistol at his back while stealing his episcopal cross and the jewels he was wearing from above and beneath his shirt.
I instructed everyone to get down, said Bishop Whitehead. I wasn’t sure if they planned to rob the church or open fire on it.
They removed all of my jewelry as well as my wife’s jewelry.
The churchman also said that while pursuing the criminals, he witnessed them remove their masks and flee in a white Mercedes.
