LAGOS PRESENTS ACCOMPLISHMENTS AT THE 62ND NBA CONFERENCE


The Lagos State Government has highlighted some of its many accomplishments during the Nigerian Bar Association’s Annual General Conference, which is now taking place at Eko Atlantic City on Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Honourable Commissioner for Justice and Lagos State Attorney-General, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), noted in his welcome remarks that the “Showcase Session” was organized to highlight some of the advancements made by the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration as outlined in the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda.

According to the Commissioner, significant progress has been made in a number of areas, including infrastructure development, healthcare, transportation, land management, the economy, and security.

“The purpose of this showcase session is to give the people of Lagos State an understanding of what is happening in Lagos State, the structures, procedures, deliverables, milestones, achievements, and what the people can anticipate under the administration of Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as outlined in the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda,” he said.

The Attorney General advised Lagosians to take comfort in the fact that the current government would fully execute all of its policies and programs.

Mr. Saheed Quadri, the Acting Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice, assured the populace that the State Government would keep raising the bar for governance and serve as a respectable national reference point while enlisting their assistance in realizing the Greater Lagos vision.

Speakers at the event include Mr. Bode Agoro, Permanent Secretary Lands Bureau, Prof. Akin Abayomi, Commissioner for Health, Engr. (Mrs.) Aramide Adeyoye, Special Adviser to the Governor on Works & Infrastructure, and Mr. Tunji Bello, Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources.

Others include Mrs. Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, Executive Secretary, Lagos State Domestic & Sexual Violence Agency, Engr. (Mrs.) Ibilola Kasunmu, General Manager of Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA), and Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.

At the ceremony, dignitaries included Mr. Ade Ipaye, the former attorney general of Lagos State and deputy chief of staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, as well as Hon. Justice Kazeem Alogba, the chief judge of Lagos State.
