The 19-year-old, who was acquitted of murder charges last year for killing shooting two men during the 2020 BLM protests, stated that he has been attempting to be verified on the website for months.

The adolescent tweeted: “Uh-oh” along with a screenshot of his new blue checkmark. Thank you @elonmusk.’

Then he said, “The remarks of BIG MAD detractors are absolute treasure.”

You apparently missed the blue checkmark. I’m now elite! ‘

Kyle Rittenhouse, the shooter in Kenosha, earned a blue tick verification symbol on Twitter after joining up for Elon Musk’s $8 service.

The 19-year-old claimed he has been attempting verification on the website for months.

Additionally, the controversial figure disclosed that he had subscribed to the premium Twitter Blue service in order to acquire verification.

Other conservative accounts, such as Libs of TikTok and anti-trans activist Billboard Chris, have also been verified on the site.

As a result of Musk’s announcement of the new verification procedure, several fake accounts have been tricking Twitter users.

A slew of accounts were able to impersonate celebrities by simply altering their account name and paying for a blue checkmark.

For instance, @nlntendodoofus was able to modify their Twitter handle to ‘Nintendo of America’ and obtain an official-looking blue checkmark.

Before being suspended, the bogus Nintendo account tweeted a picture of the company’s mascot, Mario, displaying the middle finger.

It comes amid confusion on Twitter following Musk’s announcement of the new verification procedure, which has led to several fake accounts deceiving users.

In the meantime, a LeBron James spoof account stated that the basketball player had “formally requested a trade” from his current team, the Los Angeles Lakers, to another team.

And another account tricked users into believing it was former U.S. President Donald Trump by tweeting, “This is why Elon Musk’s proposal doesn’t work.”

Former President George W. Bush, who appeared to make an offensive tweet on Iraq, and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani were also impersonated.

Rittenhouse launched a YouTube channel dedicated to his passion for firearms and the Second Amendment last month.

In one clip posted on his page, Kyle Rittenhouse fires a gun at close-range targets.

Rittenhouse wrote, “You may remember me as the youth who defended himself with a weapon during the 2020 riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin.”

In a brief clip, Rittenhouse appears to shoot at targets just feet in front of him with a handgun while wearing a “Don’t tread on me” T-shirt.

Rittenhouse concludes the video by saying, “Thank you all so much for continuing to support me, and I’ll see you guys in the upcoming vids.”

The acquitted kid states in his bio on the video app that he started the channel to become an expert on the subject of firearms.

The bio claims, “Join me on my adventure to learn everything there is to know about new and historic firearms and help safeguard the Second Amendment.”

Rittenhouse sobbed on the stand during the trial and claimed self-defense.

Rittenhouse was cleared of murder charges relating to the murders of Kenosha’s Joseph Rosenbaum and Silver Lake’s Anthony Huber in November 2021.

The juvenile was also accused of shooting Gaige Grosskrutz.

After being declared not guilty by a jury, Rittenhouse became something of a celebrity on the political right as an advocate for gun rights.

Recently, the adolescent attended an event hosted by Turning Point USA, an organization whose aim is to “identify, educate, train, and mobilize students to support the ideas of freedom, free markets, and limited government.”

Following his acquittal, Rittenhouse was invited to appear on right-leaning television programs and stations and even had the opportunity to meet former President Donald Trump.
