KAYAK, one of the world’s leading travel search engines, has released its latest City Index for Mindful Travellers, which is an interactive guide designed to help conscious travellers make more informed decisions when planning their next trip.

Factors Used to Rank Cities

The index evaluated 167 cities worldwide and used 28 factors to rank the best cities for travellers to visit.

These factors were grouped into four categories, which included the efficiency and cost-friendliness of transportation, availability of hotels, and availability of mindful experiences.

Top 10 in the Middle East and Africa

Cape Town and Johannesburg both made the worldwide list, but they also took Top 10 positions in the Middle East and Africa region.

Cape Town was ranked at number 6, while Johannesburg placed at number 8 on the list.

Rankings on the Worldwide List

On the worldwide list, Cape Town was ranked 145 out of 167 countries, while Johannesburg came in at number 153.

The top three countries for mindful travellers to visit worldwide were Rotterdam and Amsterdam in the Netherlands, followed by Graz in Austria.
