Kanye West calls the cops after paparazzi ‘challenge him to a fight’

Page Six has learnt that Kanye West filed a complaint against paparazzi last week after they followed him and “challenged him to a fight.”

A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office in West Hollywood, California, tells us that the Yeezy CEO, 45, was “contacted” by photographers as he exited Sunset Boulevard about 5 or 6 p.m. local time on Tuesday.

According to the watch sergeant, the photographer allegedly “got into a verbal argument with [West] and challenged him to a fight.”

West and those who were “hanging out” with him at the time proceeded to the sheriff’s office to beg assistance.

Page Six can confirm that a criminal report was filed and that the event is still under investigation. No arrests appear to have been made.

A representative for West could not be reached immediately for comment.

This is the second altercation between the “All the Lights” rapper and paparazzi in less than a month.

Late in January, West reportedly confronted a woman who was filming him from her car and, according to a viral video, seemed to throw her phone into the street.

In the clip, the “Flashing Lights” rapper could be heard addressing the woman, “You didn’t have to run up on me like that.” “If I say cease, put away your cameras!”

As a result of the event, West was identified as a suspect in an investigation into battery.

Page Six has been in contact with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department regarding the incident, but there has not yet been a conclusion to the probe.

On the same day, a paparazzo disputed with West that they had the right to photograph him during his children’s basketball game because they were taking place on a public roadway.

“You want me to interfere with your children’s games in this manner?” The pap attempted to justify himself by stating, “There are a hundred of us.”

In August 2022, West was allegedly involved in a different incident in which he assaulted a man who requested his autograph.

Yet, he was not charged with a crime for that incident.

Michael Goldstein, West’s attorney, stated at the time, “We are satisfied with this resolution because it recognizes that my client did nothing wrong.”
