Kaizer Chiefs star is bringing a young midfielder up to speed

Yusuf Maart is excited to work on his new relationship with Samkelo Zwane in the center of the field.

Maart stated that it will take some time to fill Njabulo Blom’s shoes, but as a professional, he must adapt.

Zwane has gotten off to a strong start with the first squad, as Kaizer Chiefs continue to prioritize youth.

Additionally, Khama Billiat is overpaid and over 30 at the Kaizer Chiefs.

Maart stated, “At the end of the day, I must work hard as usual.”

“Having Zwane with me is advantageous, as he is learning what it takes to perform at this level. Blom and I were effective partners.

“However, this is football, and I must be able to play with anyone on the team. I believe I’m playing well with everyone around me.”

Kaizer Chiefs travel to Durban seeking to end a winless streak of three road matches against Amazulu.

However, teammate Ashley du Preez is optimistic and believes they will achieve success, according to Maart.

“I told Ashley (Du Preez) that,” he observed, “but he told me not to worry since he is optimistic. When we go there, we will undoubtedly win.”

Friday, Maart anticipates Amazulu to come out swinging against the Glamour Boys.

“During the December break, we worked very hard, and it showed in our first two games back,” he explains. Unfortunately, the last game did not go our way, but we are eager to make amends against AmaZulu.

“Their last game [against Royal AM] was a loss, and so was ours [against Sekhukhune United],” he stated.

“Since we both need the points, we must desire it more than they do.

Even though it’s their home game, we’ll be putting up greater effort and ensuring victory.
