Kaizer Chiefs plotting MASSIVE overhaul, hints Zwane!

Kaizer Chiefs interim head coach Arthur Zwane has hinted at a major squad overhaul ahead of next season at the Naturena based club.

The Glamour Boys suffered a fourth consecutive loss on Saturday afternoon but more importantly lost further ground in the race for second position in the DStv Premiership.

Zwane didn’t hold back in his post match press conference, confirming the Amakhosi badge is indeed too heavy for many of the current players.

Kaizer Chiefs went down 2-1 against Cape Town City FC at the FNB stadium. The visitors took an early need in the 13th minute through Craig Martin after capitalized on a Daniel Cardoso blunder.

Terrence Mashego than doubled Cape Town City’s lead shortly after the halftime break, when he beat Brandon Petersen from a tight angle!

Dumisani Zuma than pulled one back for Kaizer Chiefs however all it proved to be was a late consolation strike in the 81st minute after pouncing first on a rebound in the City box.

“It might be maybe a case of mental block, or, having been in a situation where it’s bigger than you.” Arthur Zwane said as quoted by iDiskiTimes.

“Because Kaizer Chiefs is a massive brand. So they can’t maybe change their mindset and get to another level.

“So we just have to accept that the team that we’ve got players, but some are maybe not good enough to be here.

“And obviously, that needs for us going forward, we need to look at ourselves as a club, and obviously introspection in terms of making changes going forward.”
