Keagan Dolly, a striker for Kaizer Chiefs, believes that the club must begin the year with a bang against Sekhukhune United.
Dolly believes that Chiefs’ performance versus Golden Arrows on New Year’s Eve was outstanding.
“We are pleased with our victory over Golden Arrows. It was essential that we close the year on a strong note. This was our objective when we began training in December, he explains.
“The credit goes to the boys. The majority of us are not accustomed to playing at that time of year, as it is often family time, but everyone worked tirelessly to earn the three points, and I feel it will boost our confidence. Our next objective is to enter the new year on a strong note, and Sekhukhune is the starting point.
“Also, it is the Club’s birthday, so it is a special day for all of us; not only the players and technical staff, but also the fans. We are preparing well for the game and will do everything we can to win at home.”

Dolly acknowledges that he would have liked to score more goals this season, but emphasizes that the team comes first.
“I always feel that I can perform better, but I had an assist in my last game, so I will continue to work hard to progress as a player.
“I’m an attacker. I always want to score, but the team always comes first for me. If we are ahead 1-0 and a defender scores from a set piece, we will take the free kick. It is important to me to work hard for the team. Once the team achieves success, the individuals will stand out, which will fit with my personal goals.
Dolly is an experienced player who prefers to lead by example.
