Justice Department: This prosecution is just one example of the Department of Justice’s efforts to safeguard our communities from violent crime and the illegal gun trafficking that frequently fuels it.

I’d want to thank and congratulate the prosecutors and law enforcement teams from across the Department, notably the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas and the ATF’s Dallas Field Division, for their outstanding efforts that resulted in this indictment.

He then sold them to people in Connecticut illegally. We also accused four people in the District of Maryland this year after they allegedly sold 24 [firearms] to an undercover investigator, including 20 ghost guns — as well as verified and suspected machine gun conversion devices, some of which were 3D printed.

The Justice Department is dedicated to doing our bit to halt the epidemic of gun violence that has claimed far too many lives in the United States. Finally, the case we announced today exemplifies ATF’s essential role in combating gun violence and saving lives.
