A murderer branded by a judge as a “remorseless assassin” is the third convicted murderer from the same irresponsible family, rated as one of the worst in Britain.

Kane Hull, 29, smirked as he was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 28 years for the deadly stabbing of Ryan Kirkpatrick, 25, in a masked attack.

Raymond Hull, Hull’s father from Carlisle, Cumbria, is a murderer, career criminal, and father of 22 children by 11 different women. He is also estimated to have claimed at least £1.2 million in benefits.

The 67-year-old received a suspended sentence two years ago for causing the death of 90-year-old Leslie Todd by driving carelessly, and he has more than 30 prior convictions.

Kane Hull, who has 35 prior offenses, including three attacks with weapons, and Liam Porter, 33, conspired to attack Mr. Kirkpatrick. Porter was handed a life sentence with a minimum of 26 years.

Kane Hull, 29, of no known address, grinned as he was sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 28 years today for the masked attack in which victim Craig Fitzpatrick was stabbed at least six times.

Both guys grinned to their companions as they entered the dock for sentencing on Tuesday and as they exited, angering the victim’s family and friends, who yelled “cowards” as they were brought away.

The court heard that Hull and Porter attacked Mr. Kirkpatrick, with whom they had a long-standing grudge, with a glass, but he managed to flee.

The two walked home and donned masks and disguises before returning minutes later. Hull approached his victim with a six-inch knife and pierced Mr. Kirkpatrick’s lung, liver, and primary pulmonary artery.

In the midst of the attack in the city center of Carlisle on September 18 of last year, he removed his mask to reveal his identify to Mr. Kirkpatrick.

Mr. Justice Linden stated to Hull at sentencing, “Ryan Kirkpatrick was two days shy of his 25th birthday when he was murdered by you. He had done nothing to merit this punishment.

This occurrence, which lasted up to thirty seconds, constituted an execution.Rianna Hull, 31, another of Raymond Hull's children, was 18 when she pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at the Aspatria Carnival in 2010

Leading counsel used the terms ‘vicious,’ ‘callous,’ and ‘cowardly’ to describe what you did, but I don’t believe they go far enough.

“The term useless should be added to indicate the pointlessness of your actions, which did nothing but bring pain to the Kirkpatrick family and destroy your own life,”

Brother: Adrian Hull, who in November 1996 murdered his 29-year-old former babysitter.

Accomplice 33-year-old Liam Porter was given a life sentence with a minimum of 26 years to serve.

Porter knew Hull was carrying a knife and was a violent man, but did nothing to stop the attack, instead discouraging others from intervening, according to the judge. In a statement read to the court, Ryan’s mother, Andrea Johnson, disclosed that her son was on his first night out in a while due to Hull’s threats.

After attacking Mr. Kirkpatrick in a betting shop in 2017, Hull was sentenced to 21 months in prison for assault and possession of a weapon.

Hull was previously incarcerated for stabbing a man seven times in an alley, slicing open his stomach, and cutting his liver when he was 15 years old.Footage shows the two men moments before the murder in Carlisle city centre on September 18 last year

Miss Johnson recalled the agony of not being by her son’s side as he lay dying, as police prevented her from approaching while emergency personnel fought for his life.

The mother of three stated that she felt “useless” because she was not allowed through the cordon, adding, “I begged to be by Ryan’s side because he needed me more than ever before.” The court heard how Hull and Porter, both from Carlisle, fled the scene, burned the Volvo S40 they were driving within an hour, and then used a different vehicle to travel to Scotland before crossing the Irish Sea. Ten days later, they were apprehended at a residence in County Mayo, where Hull was hiding in the attic.

Both fought extradition and it took the work of police forces in all four countries to bring them to justice.

Rianna Hull, another of Raymond Hull’s children, pled guilty to being drunk and disorderly during the Aspatria Carnival in 2010 when she was 18 years old.

On September 18 of last year, footage shows two guys moments before their murder in the city center of Carlisle.

Det Chief Superintendent Mick Bird of the Cumbria Police stated that sixty detectives were assigned to the case. He continued, “The streets of Carlisle are much safer without someone like Kane Hull.” Adrian, who is now 42 years old, served 17 years in prison after being found guilty of murdering his former babysitter in a “brutal and lengthy” assault. His release occurred in 2014.

Adrian Hull kicked Nicky Morrison, 29, at least 14 times in the head when he was 18 years old, striking him so hard that his skull bounced off a concrete path, and then threw his body down a bridge.

And another sibling, cruel Leon Hull, 32, will shortly be released from prison after being sentenced to four years and eight months in March 2020 for a terrible assault.

The victim was attacked and set on fire by Leon, another guy, and a 17-year-old child, an occurrence which the assailants “enjoyed” photographing with their cell phones.

When he was 18, Leon Hull was sentenced to four and a half years for armed robbery in 2009.

In 2020, he was incarcerated for committing GBH with intent.

John Michael Hull, the eldest son of Raymond Hull, has served jail time for witness intimidation and bottle throwing.

Raymond Hull, of Aspatria, Cumbria, was granted an 18-month suspended sentence for a drug trafficking offense in 2014 after claiming he needed to care for his youngest sons. Hull was also spared prison for causing death by careless driving in 2014.
