On his initial meeting with Marvel, Jonathan Majors was a bit anxious.

The 33-year-old actor who portrays Kang the Conqueror in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Mania” disclosed that he almost left his first meeting with the firm because it was taking too long.

“I hope this doesn’t come back to bite me in the a—, but I left my Marvel general meeting,” Majors acknowledged to Vanity Fair.

In 2016, Majors had recently graduated from the Yale School of Drama when he found himself waiting at the Marvel Studios office.

“I had a pretty certain upbringing, and I don’t wish to waste anyone’s time. So I entered, and they’re simply busy,” he stated. “And I thought, ‘Am I supposed to be here?’” That became tedious, and I said, “I’m just going to leave.” It’s neat. I’ll just go.’”

As the “Lovecraft Country” actor approached the exit, he was informed that casting director Sarah Finn would soon arrive, and he sat down with her.

“We entered the room and began conversing. We were having a wonderful discussion. I believe we spoke with Kang three years later,” Majors stated. “And there is no fear now, especially considering who Kang is. When I agreed, the entire picture became clear, and the plan is coherent.”

With “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” Kang the Conqueror is the next villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a character arc that will continue through at least 2025.

“I hope this doesn’t bite me in the a-s, but I walked out of my Marvel general [meeting],” Jonathan Majors told Vanity Fair for its 29th annual Hollywood issue.

Kang the Conqueror made his debut in the “Loki” Disney+ series, but this will be his first appearance on the big screen.

The third part in the Ant-Man story, “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” featuring Paul Rudd as the title character, releases in theaters on February 17.
