The sister of a man who was brutally killed down in broad daylight has asked for assistance in locating his murderer while denying reports that her brother was affiliated with biker gangs.
Connie Versace burst into tears as she demanded justice for the killing of her brother Joseph, who was murdered in a shed in Gnangara, Perth, on Thursday.
The shooting is another loss to the family, who was crushed two years ago when the children’s father, Mario, passed away in October 2020.

Paramedics were unable to save Versace’s life after he was shot in the abdomen and chest in a brazen daylight execution.
Ms. Versace told 7News, “After my father passed away, my brother assured me he would accompany me down the aisle at my wedding, but that won’t happen.”

Ms. Versace refuted charges that her brother was affiliated with any bikie clubs, despite police claims that the shooting was linked to illicit motorcycle gangs.
She stated, “He was not a biker, unlike what has been portrayed.”

Ms. Versace acknowledged that her brother may have had bikie acquaintances, as “many people do now.”
She stated, “He’s not a mobster, he wasn’t an angel, but who is? He’s done some foolish things.”
Ms. Versace stated that it infuriated her because her brother was associated with a criminal motorcycle gang and represented as a ‘horrible guy’
She referred to her brother as the “rock” that held the family together after the death of their father.
Ms. Versace stated that her brother had a golden heart and urged anyone with information on the location of his murderer to come forward.
Versace’s Facebook profile image from July 2021 depicted him urinating on a police car, suggesting that he and the police had little fondness for one another.

You cannot do this to someone and get away with it; (the perpetrator) should spend the rest of their life in prison.
On Friday, WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch revealed that the incident had ties to motorcycle gangs.
As Commissioner of Western Australia, he stated, “I will not accept cold-blooded murders and public acts of violence.”
They will continue throughout the week to ensure that everyone is contacted in order to send a strong message to those in the community who wish to perpetrate violent crimes.

Versace’s ties to Western Australia’s illicit motorcycle gangs date back years, with the dead 34-year-old having previously been involved with the Rebels and the Comancheros.
The West reports that Versace has spent the past 16 years in and out of prison, serving his first sentence at the age of 18.
In 2015, Versace was charged with participating in a narcotics trafficking enterprise, but the accusations were dropped later that year.
In July 2021, Versace’s Facebook profile photo depicted him urinating on a police cruiser, demonstrating that he had no affection for the law enforcement.
