Jeremy Renner has been released from surgery to address the terrible injuries he sustained when his snowplow ran over him by mistake.

Renner “suffered significant chest trauma and orthopedic injuries,” according to Renner’s representative’s statement to People.

Renner, 51, “returned from surgery and remains in critical but stable condition in the intensive care unit,” the representative noted.

The family of the “Mayor of Kingstown” actor also like to “express their gratitude to the extraordinary doctors and nurses caring for him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, the Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families.”

Following the unusual event, Renner was evacuated from his house outside Reno, Nevada to a hospital. Later, a neighbor of the Oscar-nominated actor stated that the plow accidently ran over one of Renner’s legs, causing him to bleed a great deal of blood.

His representative stated that the snowplow caused him “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic problems.”

A second neighbor who is a physician was able to apply a tourniquet to the “Hawkeye” actor’s leg until paramedics arrived to transport him to the hospital by helicopter.

Local authorities subsequently established that Renner was the sole individual involved in the collision. The Major Accident Investigation Team of the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the circumstances.

Renner has previously uploaded videos and photographs of himself using his snow plow to assist his family during winter storms.

“I have a tremendous amount of regard for Mother Earth and Mother Nature… I anticipate to lose the struggle, but I will always give it my all #tahoelife life #snowthrower,” he captioned a mid-December video of himself clearing a route with his plow.
