Jeremy Corbyn joins Theresa May and Michael Gove to show off his bhangra dance moves.

After his dance moves went viral online when two guests at a Pakistani wedding pulled him onto their shoulders, former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn has joined the likes of Theresa May and Michael Gove.

After being persuaded to perform by the groom’s cousin, Mr. Corbyn demonstrated his bhangra dance talents to a delighted wedding party.

According to the Lancashire Telegraph, the left-leaning Labour MP Zarah Sultana’s sister got married in Coventry, and the Islington North MP was invited as a special guest.

In videos captured by visitors to the Pakistani wedding on Tuesday, Mr. Corbyn can be seen busting some moves to live bhangra music while wearing a cream suit and a light blue shirt.

He was ‘called over’ for a dance by the groom Rizwan’s cousin Tayab Naveed, 26, and was cheered on by a sizable group of guests standing nearby.

Mr. Naveed, the general manager of the Chaaye Paani café in Blackburn, Lancashire, recorded Mr. Corbyn.

After the dance, Mr. Corbyn tried to clap but was only able to do so twice before being picked up by his dance partner and another wedding guest.

The enormous crowd then roars in approval as all three of them punch the air in delight.

The music from Punjab, a region in the north of the Indian subcontinent shared by Pakistan and India, inspired the creation of bhangra by British Punjabis in the 1960s.

Mr. Naveed praised Mr. Corbyn for having “great manners with everyone” and stated that he “has definitely got the moves.”

After spotting the MP in a car while directing traffic close to the Royal Court Hotel, he invited him to a dance.

As soon as he exited, he said to Mr. Corbyn, “You are a man of your word, and I am too, so let’s do this.”

According to him, Mr. Corbyn responded, “You take the lead, and I’m ready,”

Even without participating in Strictly Come Dancing, Jeremy Corbyn has already joined the expanding group of MPs who have proudly danced on camera.

But how does the former Labour leader compare to his dancing and political adversaries?

The Maybot is Theresa May.

Theresa May, the former prime minister, rose to fame for her now-famous “Maybot” dance style after performing it with students in South Africa in August 2018.

Her moves in Cape Town were compared to Peter Crouch’s iconic “robot” and less kindly to the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz, to which she confessed they “might not make it on to Strictly.”

When she took the stage to ABBA’s Dancing Queen at the Tory party conference the next week, she accepted the “cringe.”

When the former prime minister received the Spectator’s Backbencher of the Year award the previous year, she too performed her trademark dancing motion.

Her replacement, Boris Johnson, was removed from Downing Street earlier this month, and she was later spotted dancing at Henley Music Festival.

To the amusement of a Brussels throng, former EU Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker even performed his own version of the Maybot.

When he danced like Mrs. May before giving a speech in Brussels in 2018, he made people laugh.

Michael Gove: Having fun dancing after a breakup

After divorcing his wife of 20 years, Sarah Vine, former Levelling Up Secretary Michael Gove was captured on camera dancing the night away in an Aberdeen nightclub.

In the wee hours of a Sunday morning in August of last year, he was observed throwing shapes on the dance floor of the Bohemia nightclub.

The videos were uploaded to Instagram by musician Emma Lament, who captioned them with the statement that newly single Gove was “giving it big licks” as he bopped to pulsing techno music.

Gove can be seen dancing, jumping, and swinging his arms on the films while wearing a suit with no tie.

At the previous party convention, Mr. Gove was also seen dancing with fellow Tory MP Tom Tugendhat, who recently sought for the position of new Tory leader.

Just one month after his controversial night out in Aberdeen, Mr. Gove could be seen dancing along with Mr. Tugendhat while dressed in a suit and tie to a version of the 1987 classic.

At the Labour Party conference in 2016, Yvette Cooper, a Labour MP, was spotted giving her husband, former MP and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ed Balls, a run for his money.

She made a splash in Liverpool, stealing the stage at the Daily Mirror newspaper’s customary conference party.

She appeared eager to demonstrate that she didn’t share her husband’s lackluster dancing abilities after his underwhelming performance on Strictly Come Dancing the previous Saturday.

I Want To Hold Your Hand and Come Together were among the Beatles hits she danced to with Daily Mirror editor Lloyd Embley.
