Fans and admirers of Jamie-Lee Domburg were stunned to learn of her departure from the “Expresso Morning Show” on Tuesday, August 30. She made the announcement via a social media post.
Her last performance was on Wednesday, August 31.
Fans swarmed her social media account with well wishes as she concluded her three-year tenure as a presenter on S3.
The Steenberg mother of one tied for first place on “Presenter Search on 3” with Kuhle Adams. The pair began their “Expresso Morning Show” debut on November 4, 2019.
Jamie-Lee told IOL Entertainment that she was thrilled to be a presenter and fulfill her childhood dream.
“I have been so incredibly fortunate to have had this opportunity to live out my aspirations in front of South Africa, but now it’s time for me to expand my horizons and pursue bigger opportunities in the profession.
“I will miss making live television with the incredible crew, but I look forward to achieving new heights, continuing to inspire, and discovering where God is going to take me!
“All I can say right now is thank you to my mother, family, and son Luca for letting me into their homes and places over the past three years, I love you”
Her colleague Katlego Maboe responded, “I have no words to explain how saddened I am by this news; sis, you have a special place in my heart. We are and will always be a family.
“I am confident that God has your back and that His plans for you and your wonderful family are unfolding magnificently.” You are such an example to me and so many others; continue flashing your light with that contagious grin and kind heart.
