In a renewed clash between the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) and Boko Haram, scores of Boko Haram insurgents were killed last Friday.

According to a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst in Lake Chad, Zagazola Makama, the clash occurred when some Boko Haram fighters on motorcycles staged an ambush on two ISWAP vehicles.
