Following a police investigation into right-wing extremism, a man and a woman, both 59, have been charged with terrorist offenses.

Darren Reynolds and Christine Grayson were detained on Monday by Counter Terrorism Policing North East after planned and intelligence-driven arrests at their residences (CTPNE).

Ms. Grayson of York is accused with one terror offense, while Mr. Reynolds of Sheffield is charged with ten acts of terrorism.

The Yorkshire couple will appear in person today at Westminster Magistrates’ Court via video connection.

Six charges of holding information that might be beneficial to someone planning a terrorist attack are brought against My Reynolds.

In addition, he faces charges for three offenses involving the distribution of terrorist publications, one act of conspiring to cause criminal damage, and one case of promoting terrorism.

One charge under Section 1 of the Terrorism Act of 2006 and one count of conspiracy to cause criminal damage are brought against Ms. Grayson, a York resident.
