Innovation Scout John’s path from Infantry Commander to jHub

You could believe that having technological expertise is necessary in order to operate in the jHub.

After all, a significant portion of the work that this distinctive and intriguing team does is focused on acquiring and providing cutting-edge technology to the front lines of the military.

But even while it’s useful, it’s not always the end-all. Don’t trust us? The SO2 Innovation Scout at jHub X, John, may be contacted at:

I hadn’t had much experience with technology in my prior position.

John’s previous position, as an Infantry Commander, was very different from his present one at the jHub. He has enjoyed his exposure to technology, despite the fact that it took some time to become used to it:

Everything from digital components to troop systems for contemporary combat is really fascinating and, in my opinion, highly pertinent to my future professional life.

John makes a point of mentioning the opportunity to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise as being especially important in the attraction of the jHub:

I have the chance to collaborate with experts and individuals from a range of backgrounds, including data scientists, UES programmers, and legal professionals. I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish it in my prior position.

All of these experiences serve as the gears in the jHub machine and support their final goal, but John clarifies:

Particularly with the jHub X-Team, the capacity to swiftly make an impact is great. We have such a strong operational drive that we are able to quickly identify an issue, take it directly to industry for solution development, and then provide it to the consumers.

Although this is undoubtedly fulfilling in and of itself, John finds excitement in being able to see and comprehend the process in a new way.

It’s exciting and unusual to see this process from the capability procurement side.

If there was any doubt about jHub’s position as a distinct defence office, John mentions a few more things that would tip the scales strongly in its favour:

Working there is quite different from working in other defense-related industries. The breadth and diversity of the areas you get to work in are as unique as the leadership style.

And what better way to end than by saying this:

To anybody considering entering this field, I wholeheartedly endorse this amazing opportunity.
