Animal rescuers are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying whoever tied a severely injured dog to a tree and left graffiti-like pen marks on his body.

A month after a deceased dog was discovered tied to a tree a few kilometers away, the RSPCA urged the public to identify those responsible for tying the injured canine to a tree.

The mastiff was recovered by an RSCPA inspector after surviving.

Emma Lagoon, a spokesperson for RSPCA Queensland, said, “Anyone with information on this dog or who may have seen someone in the area with the dog is advised to contact the RSPCA’s 24/7 emergency hotline.”

It is completely unacceptable to tie up a wounded dog to a tree. Regarding the markings, it is simply rude.

As you might imagine, this poor puppy is pretty frightened and is currently receiving the attention he needs to hopefully survive his ordeal and recover entirely.

The RSPCA also asked pet owners to reach out for assistance if they felt unable to care for their animals.

On the RSCPA’s social media platforms, followers were outraged by the dog’s treatment.

A Brisbane woman posted on Facebook, “I hope they identify the perpetrators and lock them up.”

On August 14, the body of a male American Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix was discovered tied to a tree in Bald Hills, north Brisbane.

The dog was discovered by a member of the public in the bushes opposite Tinchi Tamba Boat Ramp.
