The deceased was wrapped in a white sheet, but as time went on, the blood from the fatal head wound stained the linen.

An NYPD Crime Scene Unit tent was set up later in the morning to conceal the corpse from curious passersby.

The shooter was a “heavyset” black male, according to the police, who was dressed entirely in black and wearing a mask.

The search for a lady was also mentioned by the investigators, although they did not immediately provide a description or details regarding her involvement in the murder.
