In-Flight Chaos: Jessica Horne Pleads Guilty to Drunkenness and Assaulting Officers

Jessica Horne, a 32-year-old woman, admitted to attacking two police officers while being drunk on a Ryanair flight from Fuerteventura to Manchester in March of last year.

Horne became loud and caused issues for other passengers, including her partner, while on board the flight.

She allegedly tried to kiss one of the Ryanair stewards and pinched his bottom before verbally abusing him.

Upon landing, Horne was met by two police officers, whom she became aggressive towards, kicking out and leaving one officer with a small cut above his eye.

Jane Deakin, the prosecutor in the case, stated that Horne was “abusive and kicked out” towards the officers.

During her appearance at Wigan Magistrates’ Court, Horne pleaded guilty to being drunk on an aircraft and two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.

However, she denied sexual assault and a charge of using racially aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour.

Horne, who resides in Briercliffe, Burnley, will face trial on the charges of sexual assault and racially aggravated threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court on April 19.
