Porsha Williams and Simon Guobadia remarried on Saturday, only one day after their traditional American wedding in Atlanta.
Due to the groom’s Nigerian ancestry, Friday’s wedding followed Nigerian local law and customs. The couple’s second nuptials, also performed in Georgia, were consistent with a typical American ceremony.
People reports that Williams, 41, donned a white lace Frida ballgown while walking down the aisle of a Methodist chapel.
“I definitely want the Lord to be in the place. “I want the Holy Spirit to usher in our marriage,” she told the site before to the wedding.
“Because I’m from the South, I enjoy attending church. It will be a unique experience for both of us, as neither Simon nor I have ever been married in a church.
The publication also states that 350 guests witnessed Williams and Guobadia, 57, exchange vows.
At the wedding were fellow “Housewives” Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Monyetta Shaw, Kandi Burruss, Drew Sidora, and Cynthia Bailey.
“We call each other ‘hubby’ and ‘wifey’ all the time, but now it’s official, so I guess I’ll weep,” Williams gushed to People. “Simon claims he won’t weep, but he’s sobbed at home when we’ve discussed our relationship, so I believe he will. I believe we have an unspoken wager.”
Williams exclaimed, “We call each other ‘hubby’ and ‘wifey’ all the time, but now it will be official.”
Multiple festivities on the couple’s wedding day were always part of the plan, according to Williams. In May of 2021, the reality star revealed on her radio program “Dish Nation” that they desired three weddings.
She stated, “Since he is African, we will have a local law and custom ceremony, a traditional wedding, and a third wedding at one of his relatives’ homes outside the nation.”
When Williams and Guobadia initially met, their relationship began with controversy because Guobadia was previously married to Williams’ “RHOA” co-star Falynn Pina.
In May 2021, after one month of dating, Porsha and Simon Guobadia became engaged.

The now-married pair became engaged in May 2021, only weeks after Pina, 32, announced she and Simon had separated.
Williams has always maintained that she did not interfere in the former couple’s marriage, stating on social media at the time, “Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been finalized. Our partnership is a loving, pleasant move forward for everyone.”
The author of “The Pursuit of Porsha” joked to People on Friday, “This is our final marriage, OK? We belong together. That’s all. It is a blessing to find your soul mate. It doesn’t happen often.”
From 2011 until 2013, Williams was married to Kordell Stewart, and their relationship was depicted in Season 1 of “RHOA.” She was formerly engaged to Dennis McKinley, with whom she had a 2-year-old daughter named Pilar.
Guobadia has five children from prior marriages: Quentin, Nicole, Christian, Benjamin, and Ximena.
