Imo Guber: It Is Barbaric And Shameful For You To Sponsor A Fake Video Against Anyanwu – PDP Blasts Uzodinma

PDP’s Call to Action

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made a fervent plea to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), urging them to disqualify Governor Hope Uzodinma in the lead-up to the gubernatorial election in Imo State.

Allegations of Malicious Fake Video

PDP alleges that Governor Uzodinma and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are circulating a malicious fake video against its candidate, Senator Samuel Anyanwu.

Despite these claims, the PDP asserts that their candidate remains undeterred and is poised for victory.

Barbaric and Shameful Tactics

The party expresses strong condemnation for what it deems as “barbaric and shameful” tactics employed by the APC candidate, Uzodinma. According to PDP, the alleged sponsorship of a fake video against their candidate is a low blow in an attempt to mislead the people of Imo State.

Fear of Popularity

In a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Debo Ologunagba, PDP argues that the fake video is indicative of Governor Uzodinma’s fear of the popularity of their candidate, Senator Anyanwu.

They suggest that Uzodinma resorted to underhanded methods in a last-minute effort to hinder Senator Anyanwu’s chances.

Reiteration of Candidate’s Position

The PDP reiterates that Senator Anyanwu is very much in the governorship race and urges the people of Imo State to disregard the alleged fake video as completely false.

Call for Disqualification

Citing a violation of electoral laws, the PDP calls on INEC to disqualify the APC and Governor Uzodimma, emphasizing that their reported involvement in producing and circulating the fake video goes against the provisions of the Electoral Act, 2022, the Nigerian Criminal Code, and Cyber Crime Law.
