Ilford gun attack’s second victim: Cops search for double murder suspects

Police probing the fatal shooting of two men in Ilford have identified the two victims.

Saydi Abu Sheikh, 23 years old, and Zakariya Jeilani Mohamed, 32 years old, both of Ilford, were murdered in a gang-related attack.

The police are searching for the murder suspects on bicycles who fled the area after killing the men at a reputed drug den.

CCTV footage depicts a group of men, thought to be rival gang members, escaping from the residence where two men were slain and another was severely injured.

Met Police Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood, who is overseeing the inquiry, commented, ‘This terrible act of extreme violence shattered two families and sent shock waves through the community.

“My team is working around the clock to find the perpetrators, and I’d want to thank individuals who have already offered information; they can rest assured that we will act on anything they’ve contributed.”

“We are still interested in speaking with anyone who was at or near the Henley Road residence at the time of the attack.

“The suspects guilty for this heinous conduct are dangerous criminals, and it is vital that they are not shielded by a wall of silence. Please help us remove them from the streets by identifying them.”
