Idaho murder investigators rule out white Hyundai in college killing probe


Previously alerted to a white Hyundai as part of their investigation into the murders of four students in Idaho, police have now ruled out the vehicle.

Earlier this month, Moscow police reported that a white Hyundai Elantra had been spotted near the crime scene, and that the occupants of the vehicle may have critical information.

Despite an avalanche of suggestions to an overburdened local police agency, no reliable leads have emerged since then.

A automobile was later spotted in Oregon, 750 miles away from the scene of the murders.

However, police stated this evening, ‘Investigators are aware of a Hyundai Elantra in Eugene, Oregon, and have spoken with the owner. After being engaged in a collision, the vehicle was subsequently seized.

The vehicle is registered in Colorado, and the female owner is not believed to have any ties to Moscow, Idaho, or to the ongoing murder investigations. The public is requested to cease any interaction with the owner.Both the front and rear license plates were ripped off the vehicle in Eugene. It was reported to police by a member of the public who complained about a man sleeping in it
