Huge bull escapes enclosure at Florida rodeo and charges audience

One of the bulls broke loose and rushed around the stadium this past weekend, giving a Florida rodeo spectators a bit more than they anticipated.

The incident happened on camera on Saturday at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

The angry bull was being held in a corral in preparation for its run when Christopher Thornton, who was filming the event, said the animal leapt out and rushed the packed bleachers.

“Everyone was running, and the moms were grabbing their kids,” Thornton told Fox 13. The seats were being jumped over by people. The first thought that sprang to me was to record it. This was occurring at my first rodeo, and I couldn’t believe it!

The bull can be seen charging towards the crowd and all over the stadium as the footage progresses.

Over the rodeo’s PA system, someone can be heard advising the attendees to calm down while many of them were openly yelling.

Fortunately, a rodeo cowboy who was mounted took control of the situation by lassoing the bull to keep it under control.

“Everyone just began clapping,” said Thornton. In all honesty, greater mayhem undoubtedly would have resulted if he hadn’t been able to capture the bull.

Before being returned to his holding enclosure, the bull did not cause any injuries to anybody.

The Florida State Fairgrounds did not reply to a request for comment, and the organisers, Gus Trent Horse Ranch, refused to comment.
