According to reports from Peoples Gazette, Minister Lola Ade-John was swiftly taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Jabi, shortly after she began displaying symptoms of poisoning.

It has been noted that she is currently relying on a machine to assist with her breathing.

The Gazette reported that the Ministry’s permanent secretary, Ngozi Onwudike, insisted that the Minister should not be transferred because the Federal Medical Centre is a public hospital, and its services would not entail substantial charges to the government.
This stance was met with resistance from the Minister’s family, who were unable to secure funds to move her to a private hospital.
