Hawk caught in vehicle grill SURVIVES

All of us have experienced misfortune in our lives, however some people may have experienced it more often.

However, no one has had nearly as bad luck as the hapless hawk who got caught in a car’s grill last weekend.

The sad bird was discovered by the car’s driver in Fairfax County, Virginia, last Saturday.

When they became aware of the animal’s presence, they alerted the authorities so that it could be let free.

Officer McLemore, an animal control officer for Fairfax County, successfully removed it.

A picture of the animal with its feathers spread out, trapped on the grill, before it was rescued.

The animal seemed to be crammed closely into the restricted area.

Another picture shows the jubilant animal protection officer who successfully freed the bird beaming.

The hawk’s beak was open when its saviour gripped it.

The bird was transferred to a wildlife rehab facility for treatment after the successful operation close to Interstates 66 and 495.

Facebook post from the Fairfax County Police Department read: “Animal Protection Police Officer McLemore to the rescue!

This morning, a motorist discovered a hawk was lodged in their car’s grill and summoned APPO McLemore to the vicinity of I-66 and I-495.

“APPO McLemore” retrieved the hawk from the vehicle and made arrangements for it to be cared for by a facility that is authorised to care for wildlife. For all they do, we thank our animal protection police officers.
