The Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic (HUKPOLY), Katsina State, is accepting applications from eligible individuals for admission to its certificate programme for the academic year 2022/2023.
HUKPOLY Certificate Courses Admission Requirements
CERTIFICATE IN SCIENCE LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY (CSLT) PROGRAMME
- Two passes in any Pure Science subjects, including Mathematics, or SSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB ordinary level.
- A minimum of three years of experience working in a laboratory, together with a passing grade in any pure or applied science subject at the SSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB Ordinary Level.
ELEMENTARY MECHANICAL AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATE (EMEATC), BLOCK LAYING AND CONCRETING (BLCC) AND ELEMENTARY ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS COSTING AND CONTRACTING (EEICC) PROGRAMMES
- BATC with one year of relevant industrial experience.
- Trade Test Grade II in a relevant field with Technical or Vocational Training credit.
- Three (3) passes in relevant subjects at the Ordinary Level of the WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB, acquired in no more than two sittings.
- Other qualifications deemed acceptable by the Polytechnic.
INTERMEDIATE MECHANICAL AND AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (IMEATC)
- Elementary EATC/EMTC with a grade of credit or above and at least one year of work experience.
- City and Guilds Part 1 or Trade Test III in appropriate sector, as well as proof of Technical or Vocational Training.
- Four (4) passes in relevant subjects at the Ordinary Level of the WASC, SSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB in no more than two (2) sittings.
CERTIFICATE IN AGRICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY (CAT)
- Minimum of three(3) passes at the Ordinary Level of the NECO, SSCE, GCE, or NABTEB, or its equivalent, with at least two(2) of those passes in science subjects.
CERTIFICATE IN CATERING AND HOTEL MANAGEMENT (CCHM)
- Attempted SSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB Ordinary Level or its equivalent, with at least two of the subjects being science-related.
ADVANCED CERTIFICATE IN CATERING AND HOTEL MANAGEMENT (ACCHM)
- Holders of a Certificate in Catering and Hotel Management from a recognised institution or its equivalent.
CERTIFICATE IN NUTRITION AND DIETETICS (CND)
- Attempted SSCE, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB Ordinary Level with at least a passing grade in the relevant subjects, or its equivalent.
ASSISTANT LIBRARY OFFICER’S CERTIFICATE (ALO)
- SSCE, NECO, GCE, and NABTEB with a minimum of three (3) passes.
- Library Assistant Certificate Candidates (LA).
- Assistant Librarian with at least two (2) years of experience.
- All candidates must submit physical copies of their completely filled application form and other credentials for screening/verification to the Academic Division of the Polytechnic.
How to Apply for HUKPOLY Certificate Courses Admission Form
All Diploma candidates must pay a screening fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2, 000.00), following which they will be requested to complete a profile page, print, and send a copy to the Academic Office. They must also pay one thousand five hundred naira (N1, 500.00) for verification.
Eligible applicants must pay using the payment methods available on the student portal at portal.hukpoly.edu.ng. Cash payments are not accepted at the Polytechnic.
