Harvey Weinstein denies molesting a 16-year-old

Harvey Weinstein denied his 16-year-old accuser’s accusation that he sexually attacked her.

Weinstein is awaiting trial on felony charges in the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.

Kaja Sokola, now 35, was a 16-year-old teen model living in New York in September 2002, when she says that Weinstein took her to his SoHo apartment and attacked her

He was convicted of third-degree rape and criminal sexual assault in New York.

Weinstein denied Kaja Sokola’s claims in an interview with DailyMail.com on Friday.

Sokola was a 16-year-old model in New York in September 2002 when Weinstein allegedly abused her in his SoHo apartment, according to a 2019 lawsuit and a Rolling Stone interview.

Weinstein stated via his counsel, ‘I know where I stand, but it doesn’t make every claim against me truthful or real.’ I never met this lady in 2002.

Sokola’s lawyers said Weinstein should concentrate on his upcoming multi-victim rape trial in California.

Sokola’s case against Weinstein is one of the few surviving in the scandal and names Disney, which controlled Miramax from 1993 until 2010.

Most misbehaviour cases after 2005 were bundled into Weinstein’s bankruptcy, and most claims from before 2005 were time-barred.

Sokola filed her complaint under a 2019 New York legislation that allowed victims of child sexual abuse to pursue civil actions even if the statute of limitations had elapsed.

Weinstein’s lawyers say he couldn’t have met Sokola before 2005, when she was 19 and unable to suit under the Child Victims Act’s lookback window.

‘I understand the incentives for seeking to exploit the legislation for a civil claim,’ said Weinstein.

Weinstein didn’t possess the SoHo flat in Sokola’s case until 2005, his spokeswoman said.

Weinstein’s attorney Imran H. Ansari said he didn’t meet Sokola in 2002.

Ansari informed DailyMail.com that Weinstein firmly denies Sokola’s accusations.

Mr. Weinstein disputes Ms. Sokola’s claim that she was 16 when they met.

Ansari contended that a sequence of events, confirmed by additional information, including witness testimony, would undermine Sokola’s accusations of sexual assault as a youngster, preventing her from pursuing action under the Child Victims Act.

In a recent interview, Sokola claimed she plans to sue Weinstein and his alleged helpers.

“Nobody’s untouchable right now,” she added, adding of Weinstein’s friends, “Was it worth it?” Because I’m sure they knew.

I’m interested whether Harvey still thinks, “All these b***hes,” or if he’s made peace with what he’s done.

Sokola, now 35 and a psychotherapist in Poland, encountered Weinstein as an adolescent model in New York.

She was 16 when she met him at a NEXT Model Management event.

Sokola told Rolling Stone that others at the event commented, ‘This is the king of Hollywood. He can make anything happen.’ He said, “If you want to be an actor, I can tell you have promise. Let’s have lunch and talk about it.”

I’ve heard “Don’t eat out.” Drugs may be placed in beverages. She said lunch was safe.

Weinstein’s driver allegedly picked her up a few days later and put her up at his SoHo apartment.

In his apartment, she alleges Weinstein ‘grabbed her breasts’ and ejaculated on the floor.

She alleges he barred her from leaving then threatened her career.

The complaint alleges Harvey Weinstein said resisting his sexual demands would mean losing in Hollywood.

In 2020, a New York jury convicted Weinstein of third-degree rape and first-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Weinstein, 70, is receiving a 23-year jail term. He’s being jailed in Los Angeles on new accusations.

Weinstein denies 11 criminal assault allegations in California. His trial in October.

In June, he was accused with assaulting a lady in London in 1996.

It’s uncertain whether this case will ever get to trial since UK authorities must determine whether to pursue his extradition while he’s serving a long sentence in the US.

Nearly 90 women have accused Weinstein of harassment or assault, including Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Salma Hayek. He denies everything.
