Harry Styles’ mother criticizes ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ statements

The mother of Harry Styles has responded to the “vitriolic comments” made about her son’s latest film, “Don’t Worry, Darling.”

Anne Twist posted a favorable review of Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller, in which her son, “As It Was” hitmaker Jack Chambers, plays a workaholic, and the film’s comments section was flooded with negative feedback.

Her message stated, “First time in a French movie theater… opening day… ‘Don’t Worry, Darling’ you were fantastic!

“Really enjoyed from beginning to end. Well done, @oliviawilde and colleagues, for capturing our attention, and well done, @harrystyles, for being a magnificent Jack. As usual, extremely proud

Since then, Twist has shared on her Instagram Story how “devastated” she is to see so much hostility directed at the film and its cast, which includes Florence Pugh and Chris Pine.

If you can’t say something pleasant, don’t say anything at all, she wrote.

“Honestly, I’m shocked and disturbed by the venomous remarks on this page. I appreciated a flick. If it is not to your liking, do not attend…”

If you don’t like me, please don’t follow me. Simple.”

Her post was published days after Wilde responded to the “bizarre rumor” that Styles spat on Pine.

A video of the “Late Night Talking” singer and his co-star at the premiere of their film at the Venice Film Festival has lately gone viral, with many thinking that Styles spat on Pine.

However, Pine’s representative refuted online allegations that the 28-year-old actor spit as he sat down next to his 42-year-old co-star before to the screening.

During his New York City show, Styles continued to make light of “spit-gate.”

The filmmaker, who is also Styles’ girlfriend, commented on the “drama.”

Wilde stated on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”: “Another of our strange rumors, spit-gate, which you may have heard about, is I believe…”

Colbert then assertively interjected and asked, “Did Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine? Justify your position.”

Wilde said with laughter, “No, he did not.

“However, I believe this is a good example of how people seek out drama wherever they can find it. In truth, Harry did not spit on Chris.

“Only time shall tell,” the host teased his guest before continuing.

Wilde replied with a smirk, “No, he really didn’t.”

In a statement, a spokeswoman for Pine said, “This is a preposterous narrative — a pure fabrication and the consequence of an unusual web illusion that is obviously deceptive and encourages dumb inquiry.

Clarification: Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine.

The clip sparked rumors of a breach between the two parties.

However, the representative verified that they have “nothing but respect” for one another and that the rumor was off-base.

The spokesperson continued, “There is nothing but mutual respect between these two men, and any insinuation to the contrary is a shameless attempt to manufacture drama where none exists.”

As Styles celebrated his landmark 10th concert at the New York City venue on September 7, he laughed about the spitting incident.

He informed the crowd, “This is our tenth performance at Madison Square Garden, and it is fantastic, fantastic, fantastic to be back.

“I just spit on Chris Pine in Venice, but have no fear, we’re back!”
