The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly ‘not invited’ to a formal reception for world leaders and foreign royals scheduled for tomorrow evening.

The invitation to the dinner, held by King Charles and the Queen Consort, is believed to have been sent to the couple earlier in the week.

It is understood that Prince Harry and his wife Meghan are unlikely to attend after Buckingham Palace authorities stressed the reception was for working royals only.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (seen with Prince William, Prince of Wales, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, and Catherine, Princess of Wales on Wednesday) have reportedly been ‘uninvited’ to a state reception for world leaders and foreign royals scheduled for tomorrow evening.

President Joe Biden of the United States, President Emmanuel Macron of France, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada will gather in London this weekend to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth on Monday.

At a reception at the Palace, world leaders, diplomats, and foreign royals will be received by the Prince and Princess of Wales, the Princess Royal, and the Earl and Countess of Wessex.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the misunderstanding surrounding Harry and Meghan’s invitation indicates communication concerns between the California-based couple and the Royal Family.

The couple (seen last Saturday) is believed to have received an invitation to the celebration held by King Charles and the Queen Consort earlier in the week. It is believed that Harry and Meghan will not attend because Buckingham Palace officials insisted that the reception was solely for working royals.

It follows an apparent about-face about Harry’s entitlement to wear a military uniform despite his status as a non-working royal.

It is believed that the Palace intervened to permit Harry to wear his regalia at today’s 15-minute vigil in Westminster Hall.

Prior to the funeral, Harry had stated that he would wear a morning suit.
