Halsey, the 28-year-old singer known for songs like “Bad at Love” and “Die 4 Me,” made a bold statement at Paris Fashion Week. She surprised fans by debuting green hair and faux piercings all over her face at the Givenchy show.
The musician, who uses she/they pronouns, wore four silver studs around her lips and one faux piercing on either side of each eye. She paired the piercings with a $3,000 neon green bra top from the label, which featured cutouts at the sides and belt-buckle detail at the bust. She also wore loose denim cargo pants that were cut off a few inches below the knee.
Halsey’s hair was dyed a bright green hue to match her top, and she kept the theme going with matching neon green mascara and eyeshadow. She showed off her many tattoos in the bikini-style top, adding strappy black heels and silver hoop earrings to complete the Fashion Week look.
The singer posted a series of photos on Instagram to commemorate the futuristic look, writing, “planet @givenchy” along with a planet emoji. “Thank you so much @matthewmwilliams – congratulations on an immaculate show.”
Fans were excited about the green moment, with one fan writing, “The fake piercings are all placed where I have piercings, and this made me feel so special and seen.” Another fan said, “Fifth Element vibes but green.”
While the piercings may be faux, Halsey is no stranger to bold hair looks, having sported everything from rainbow bangs to a mullet and even a completely shaved ‘do.
