In a tragic incident in Florida, a horrifying crash claimed the lives of three siblings and their grandmother, with the police attributing the accident to a teenager who disregarded a stop sign.

The devastating collision occurred on a Sunday evening in Poinciana, situated approximately 35 miles south of Orlando, precisely at the junction of San Miguel Street and Laurel Avenue. The victims included the 50-year-old female driver, Trinidad Hernandez, and three children aged one, nine, and 11. Additionally, a 52-year-old male sustained severe injuries in the accident. The Florida Highway Patrol identified the teenage driver as the one responsible for the crash, as he failed to obey the stop sign while speeding.

The grief-stricken father, Mickey Hernandez-Morillo, expressed his heartache on Facebook, announcing the tragic loss of his three children in the car accident. He fervently wished for their return, highlighting the profound sorrow caused by the incident. The teenage driver, accompanied by three other 15-year-old boys, was operating a 2012 Chevrolet Impala during the collision. The front of the Impala collided with the left side of the family’s SUV, a 2022 Honda HR-V, which subsequently spun out and struck a light pole. One child and the SUV’s driver were pronounced dead at the scene, while the two remaining children succumbed to their injuries in the hospital.

Both the teenage driver and his three passengers sustained injuries, with the driver being taken to the hospital due to the severity of his injuries. Witnesses reported that Laurel Avenue, where the accident occurred, is known for excessive speeding and disregard of stop signs. Michele Torres, one of the witnesses, revealed that she provided assistance to the teenage driver, helping him remain calm and ensuring he remained at the scene. She recounted the driver’s repeated inquiries about the possibility of going to jail. Florida Highway Patrol is set to investigate the tragic crash, although it remains unclear whether the teenage driver will face charges at this point. Further details are pending, and DailyMail.com has sought comment from the Florida Highway Patrol on this matter.
