Global COVID-19 cases cross 542.25 million

WASHINGTON, 29th June, 2022 (WAM) — More than 542.25 million people have been reported to be infected by the coronavirus globally, and 6,741,660 have died, according to a Reuters tally on Wednesday.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in December 2019.
