Gina Coladangelo: Matt Hancock ‘underestimated’ I’m A Celebrity criticism

According to his fiancée Gina Coladangelo, Matt Hancock ‘underestimated’ the scope of the criticism in response to his choice to go on I’m A Celebrity.

The former health secretary, 44, finished third during the series finale on Sunday, with 21.7% of the original public vote. Her time in the Australian jungle drew condemnation from the Prime Minister and MPs from all political parties.

This put him in second place after Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner and former England player Jill Scott. He will be shown leaving the campground to be reunited with his companion and going to a wrap party at today’s post-series Coming Out Show.

Additionally, Ms. Coladangelo is heard in the program remarking, “I believe it’s fair to say that Matt overestimated the extent of the response to his walking into the jungle.

He is rugged; this past summer, we spent four days hiking around Mont Blanc.

“Just be yourself, be the Matt I know, and it’ll go extremely well,” were my parting words to him.

After being discovered breaching the Covid social distance regulations by having an affair with Ms Ms Coladangelo, then his staffer, in his ministerial office, Mr. Hancock resigned from his position as health secretary in June of last year.

He is shown questioning her as they are driving to the filming location: “Of course I’m interested as to how it went, was I genuinely me?”

It took a few days, in my opinion, for you to relax, Ms. Coladangelo responds.

In the early going, Mr. Hancock continues, “I felt like people were questioning me on behalf of the British population.

“I knew it would be contentious coming in, but I also know that millions of people voted for me,” the speaker said.

Much to her humiliation, Mr. Hancock also randomly starts singing an Ed Sheeran song.

After meeting up with friends and family outside of camp at a hotel, Ms. Coladangelo introduces herself to Boy George, who on the program had a contentious relationship with Mr. Hancock.

The Culture Club frontman assures her that everything worked out in the end.

The special episode will also include the reunion of each candidate with friends and family and the moments immediately after their elimination from camp.

ITV host Charlene White, who was the first to leave the show, is met by her sister Carina as she calls their father to inform him that he anticipated Mr. Hancock would be the first to go.

It turns out, dad, that I’m less well-liked than Matt Hancock, White responds. Nobody knew,

When comedian Seann Walsh leaves the camp, his pregnant girlfriend Grace meets him there and, to his joy, displays her expanding pregnancy.

He tells her, “All I could think of in there was you and coffee,” and then he leaves to have a full English breakfast at the food tent.

When Mike Tindall, a former England rugby player, leaves, his wife Zara, the Queen’s granddaughter, meets him and they hug on the bridge.

It’ll be wonderful to have him out since it’s been a long few weeks and the kids have missed dad, she adds.

His budgie smuggler swimming shorts are a “common occurrence” in their home life, the co-hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly inquire, and she confirms this to their amusement.

Zara sarcastically quips, “Cheating on me,” in response to Tindall’s reference to soap actress Sue Cleaver as he admits, “I’m sorry I had a camp wife in there but she was wonderful.”

Chris Moyles, a radio DJ, welcomes them and hands Zara a bucket of beer while saying, “I looked after him for you in there.” Zara responds, “Did you like his spooning and his hugs?”

Tindall responds, “It’s simply too much, let’s never do this again,” when asked how it feels to be back with his wife.

Football player Scott remarks on her victory, saying, “The goal was never to be Queen of the Jungle, only to finish the adventure”.

It will take some time for it to set in since I still can’t believe it.

ITV and ITV Hub will broadcast The Coming Out Show today at 9.15 p.m.
