‘Gilmore Girls’ cast 22 years later

Alexis Bledel portrayed Lorelai “Rory” Gilmore, an intelligent and ambitious youngster with a close bond to her mother.

Since then, Bledel has received an Emmy for her acting work.

Even the 2017 Emmy for outstanding guest actress in a drama series was awarded to Bledel for her participation on “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

She is currently scheduled to reprise her legendary role as Lena in the third installment of “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.”

Prior to portraying the future love interest of Lorelai, Luke, Scott Patterson was a professional baseball player.

He made his acting debut in films such as “Little Big League” (1994) and “Three Wishes” (1995), as well as on the NBC sitcoms “Seinfeld” and “Will & Grace.”

Patterson worked on Cartoon Network’s “Justice League Unlimited” and “Her Best Move” during his time as Luke.

Patterson has continued to act in numerous genres.

Since “Gilmore Girls” finished, Patterson has portrayed various significant roles in television and film.

He also worked on “Other People’s Children” (2015), “Batman: Gotham by Gaslight” (2018), and “Con Man” (2018).

Kelly Bishop had a successful experience in theater, film, and television prior to her role as Emily Gilmore.

She was well-known in Hollywood for “Dirty Dancing” (1987), “Six Degrees of Separation” (1993), and “Wonder Boys” (2000). However, a significant portion of her career came from her stage appearances in musicals such as “On the Town” (1971), “A Chorus Line” (1975), and “Six Degrees of Separation” (1990).

In 1976, she won a Tony Award for her performance as Shelia in “A Chorus Line.”

After “Gilmore Girls,” Bishop maintained her acting career and returned to the theater.

Kelly Bishop’s illustrious career has continued.

Bishop reconnected with “Gilmore Girls” showrunner Amy Sherman-Palladino to star on ABC Family’s “Bunheads” and to reprise her legendary role on “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” after playing Emily Gilmore.

The actress also continued her theater career, starring with her future “Bunheads” co-star Sutton Foster in the 2011 revival of “Anything Goes.”

Edward Herrmann portrayed Richard Gilmore, the father of Lorelai and grandfather of Rory.

Prior to his work on “Gilmore Girls,” Edward Herrmann appeared in dozens of parts and narrated several documentary programs, including PBS’ “Nova” and “Liberty! The American Revolution.”

Herrmann was renowned for his contributions to “The Great Gatsby” (1974), “Annie” (1982), “Richie Rich” (1994), and “Nixon” (1995).

During his tenure on “Gilmore Girls,” he also appeared in “The Practice” on ABC, “The Aviator” (2004), and a number of documentaries.

His career as an actor lasted till his death in 2014.

Edward Herrmann died in 2014.

After “Gilmore Girls,” Herrmann continued his career in film and television.

He appeared on “Grey’s Anatomy” on ABC, “30 Rock” on NBC, “How I Met Your Mother” on CBS, and “The Good Wife” on CBS. He also had a tiny voice role in “The Wolf of Wall Street” (2013).

At the age of 71, the actor died of brain cancer in 2014.

Before playing Sookie St. James, Melissa McCarthy had minor roles on several television series.

Prior to joining the cast as Sookie St. James, Melissa McCarthy had just begun her career in the entertainment world as a comedian and actress.

She appeared in films such as “The Kid” (2000), “Charlie’s Angels” (2000), and “The Life of David Gale” (2000) while appearing on “Gilmore Girls” (2003).

McCarthy has achieved great success in comedy since her Sookie days.

McCarthy continued her television career after “Gilmore Girls,” starring on ABC’s “Samantha Who?” and CBS’s “Mike and Molly.” She also reprised her role as Sookie on “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.”

However, she is best known for her roles in “Bridesmaids” (2011), “Identity Thief” (2013), “The Heat” (2013), “Tammy” (2014), “Spy” (2015), “Ghostbusters” (2016), “Life of the Party” (2018), and “Thunder Force” (2021) – several of which she produced.

McCarthy has recently taken on tragic parts in “Can You Ever Forgive Me?” (2018), “The Kitchen” (2019), and “Nine Perfect Strangers” (Hulu).

She recently appeared in “Thor: Love and Thunder” (2022) and “God’s Favorite Idiot” on Netflix, and she will also participate in the next live-action rendition of “The Little Mermaid.”

Prior to playing Lane Kim, Rory’s best friend, Keiko Agena had only a handful of roles under her credit.

After “Gilmore Girls,” Agena continued to portray a variety of characters in live-action and animated films.

She provided the voice of a character in Disney’s “Kim Possible,” starred in “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” (2011), and had a tiny appearance on Showtime’s “Shameless” before returning her role as Lane in “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.”

Agena also appeared in “13 Reasons Why” on Netflix, “Better Call Saul” on AMC, “Prodigal Son” on Fox, and “Central Park” on Apple TV+.

In addition, she appeared in “The Never List” (2020).

Jared Padalecki portrayed Dean Forester, Rory’s first boyfriend.

However, since playing Paris, her most notable appearances have been as Amanda Tanner on ABC’s “Scandal,” Milly Stone on ABC Family’s “Bunheads,” and Bonnie Winterbottom on ABC’s “How to Get Away with Murder.”

Recent appearances include “The Black Emperor of Broadway” (2020), “Women Is Losers” (2021), and “The Cleaning Lady” (Fox).

The actress played Miss Hannigan in the 1998 US Tour of “Annie” and Miss Lynch in the 1994 revival of “Grease” outside of Hollywood.
