German police arrest senior who slapped a Jet2 worker who took her drink

British passengers celebrated as a senior citizen was removed from a flight by German police after slapping a Jet2 steward who had taken her gin and tonic away.

Two policemen pulled up the woman, who appeared to be in her 70s, and dragged her down the plane’s aisle until they lifted her up and hauled her off.

As the woman was being carried off the plane, amused passengers on the flight shouted and cheered while yelling, “Auf Wiedersehen, pet.”

Before the pilots were forced to reroute the plane to Munich in Germany, the pensioner, who has not been named, became combative and attacked a Jet2 employee on the journey from Manchester to Rhodes.

In a video provided to MailOnline, nine German police officers enter the aircraft before making their way to the woman’s seat along the aisle.

“Shall we all give her a clap on the way out,” one passenger jokes.

A few seconds later, the old woman can be seen being carried by two police officers along the plane’s aisle and out the exit, her legs dangling on the floor.

As she is being carried towards the aircraft’s back door, the woman makes a panicked voice and looks to be saying, “Help me.”

A policeman can be seen assisting the other officers pull the elderly passenger from the plane head first by picking up the woman’s legs.

The passengers on the flight can be heard cheering and saying “Bye” and “Auf Wiedersehen pet” as she is being taken off, and others are also heard laughing.

Multiple police officers can be seen supporting the woman’s arms and legs as they are dragged out of view and down the stairs once she is outside the plane and at the top of the stairs.

The flight’s passengers can be heard clapping and cheering as the woman is escorted down the stairs.

The elderly woman was captured on camera striking a Jet2 steward earlier in the trip.

The elderly apparently lost her cool during the flight when her request for complimentary champagne was denied.

She apparently ordered a gin and tonic next, but as she started acting aggressively, a member of the cabin crew allegedly took the drink away from her.

A male flight attendant can be seen on camera stooping into a row of seats near the front of the aircraft and attempting to calm the woman down.

Before settling into the seat next to the passenger, the Jet2 steward can be seen attempting to control her wildly flailing arms.

But in order to escape getting struck by the elderly man, the man leaps up from the seat.

The woman gets out of her seat amid hectic scenes and strikes the staffer twice in the face.

Before the video finishes, a staff member is seen assisting in restraining the woman as she accidentally reclines into her seat.

The woman allegedly also urinated in her seat before being led off the aircraft in Germany by nine police officers, according to a passenger who wished to remain anonymous.

The traveller reported: “A woman on the flight kept requesting free champagne from the flight attendants.

She ultimately purchased a gin and tonic after the flight attendant informed her that it wasn’t included in the service. The flight attendant took her drink away when she started acting aggressively.

She began cursing and acting irrationally. She once attempted to open the cabin door while in flight by standing up.

“At this point, she was sitting back down with two male passengers trying to keep her down as she was punching people,” the passenger continued.

We had to make an emergency landing in Munich because she continuously burst into violent episodes and urinated over three seats.

The passenger added: “Jet2 handled this problem pretty nicely and the captain of the plane provided everyone complimentary beverages.” The passenger claimed they were forced to wait in Germany for more than two hours.

The traveller uploaded the footage to TikTok, where astonished users criticised the woman for her “unacceptable” actions.

That’s a blacklist right there, one person wrote. I wish them luck in finding another flight.

Another person said, “What the hell is wrong with people, disgusting and inappropriate behaviour anyplace, especially in a flight?”

We can confirm that yesterday’s flight LS819 from Manchester to Rhodes was diverted to Munich Airport in order to remove a disruptive passenger, a Jet2 representative stated.

“We sincerely apologise to our clients for the unexpected delay and any trouble this may have caused.

As a family-friendly airline, we have zero tolerance for disruptive behaviour and continue to put the health and safety of our employees and clients first.

We won’t think twice about zealously pursuing any expenditures paid as a result of this detour, the statement reads.
